One for the North Londoners, Kaleidoscope is a relaxed day festival with a cracking outlook to accompany it. Set in Alexandra Park with panoramic views over London, this London day festival brings together comedy acts, performers, beer tents, and food pop-ups. Headlining this year are legendary electronic duo Groove Armada who will be bringing their chilled-out dance music to their evening set. Norman Jay MBE and Greg Wilson will be taking to the decks, whilst Reginald D Hunter and Irvine Welsh will have the crowds laughing with their comedy sets.
GALA Festival

Best day festival in London for: house, disco and soul fans
Nestled into a woodland corner of Peckham Rye Park, GALA is an independent music festival in South East London. The dance festival will have sets from DJs Brad Zero, Joy Orbison, and Rye Wax DJs, with performances from Oscar Jerome, Wayne Snow and Andrew Ashong. This festival has only been going since 2016, but since then has built a solid community following, supporting the best chefs, breweries and DJs of South London.

Field Day has been going strong since 2007, hosting some of the world’s top DJs and bands in Victoria Park in East London. This year, Field Day will take place on the bank holiday weekend with a host of top DJs playing house, disco, underground and classic dance music, including BICEP, Artwork and Prospa. They’re continually adding to their line up, so keep an eye out for new additions.
London Craft Beer Festival
13th, 14th, 15th August, Tobacco Dock, Wapping
Best London day festival for: craft beer connoisseurs and house, disco, and hip hop fans
London Craft Beer Festival brings together the best breweries and street food traders with some great DJs to help wash it all down. This year 100 breweries are taking part and their line up includes some top notch brewers such as London Beer Factory, Northern Monk and Tiny Rebel. Joining this London day festival are some tasty pop-up food options too, with dishes from Club Mexicana, Bleecker Burger and Two Tribes Campfire. There will be DJ’s spinning on the decks so you can enjoy your pints of beer with the sounds of house, disco and hip hop in the background.
South Facing Festival
5th August - 29th August, Crystal Palace Park, London
Best London day festival for: those who fancy music in an iconic setting
South Facing Festival is the new kid on the block, bringing back to life an old concert platform in Crystal Palace Park. The event will take place as a month-long series of day festivals at South East London’s iconic Crystal Palace Bowl, a stage fondly known by locals as the ‘rusty laptop’ which has played host to Bob Marley, The Beach Boys and Eric Clapton. The concerts offer a bit of something for everyone, with indie legends Supergrass, rap artist Dizzee Rascal and the English National Opera all taking to the stage.
51st State Festival

Celebrating all things house music, 51st State festival has its original roots in soul, gospel, and disco. This London day festival will have 100 artists across seven stages including Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and Hannah Wants. The festival operates a cashless policy, where attendees will ‘top-up’ wristbands to make payments.
Eastern Electrics Festival
28th August, Lee Valley Showground
Best London day festival for: those who want a variety of entertainment throughout the day
This electronic festival is taking over a new site this year at Waltham Cross, where they’ll be bringing large-scale production, arcade games, and rides, plus street food and cocktail tents. Rocking a major lineup of dance artists, Eastern Electrics is bringing in the big names with Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, and Nightmares on Wax all performing DJ sets.

Tom Kerridge’s festival is making its way around the UK this year with a few stop offs in London.
