Adele Roberts is a multi-talented broadcaster & DJ. She's best known for her incredible work and breakfast show on BBC Radio 1, but her talents extend far beyond the airwaves.

In 2021, Adele's life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with bowel cancer.  Following successful surgery and treatment, Adele emerged with incredible determination. Less than a year after finishing chemotherapy, she conquered the London Marathon in an inspiring display of resilience.  Not only did she complete the 26.2-mile course, but she set a Guinness World Record as the fastest person with a stoma bag to ever finish the race.  This achievement is a testament to her strength and dedication to health and fitness and inspiring her community.

A regular voice commentating on great sporting events too, Adele has worked across the BBCs live coverage for the Commonwealth Games and London Marathon too. 

Adele is hugely passionate about raising awareness for the ostomate community and used her 2024 appearance on ITV’s Dancing On Ice as an opportunity for this. Not only did she do that, but she skated all the way to final, becoming the last woman standing in the top 3 of the competition.

Adele continues to host DJ events and regularly appears on BBC Radio 2 also.
